THAI Operates as Usual While Implementing Reform Plan Under Law

Although THAI’s reform plan will be implemented and exercised through the business reorganization chapter under the bankruptcy law, THAI will not be dissolved or go into liquidation or to be declared bankrupt. On the contrary, the business reorganization chapter will enable THAI to reach its reform plan’s objectives even more effectively step by step as required by the law which provides equitable protection to all relevant stakeholders while THAI will be able to conduct its normal business operations including passenger and cargo transportation. The business will be conducted in parallel with the reform plan to increase operational efficiency and improve product and service quality.

タイ航空の改革計画は、破産法に基づく事業再編を行使されますが、タイ航空が解散したり、清算されたり、破産宣告されることはありません。それどころか、事業再編によりタイ航空がすべての関連する利害関係者に衡平な保護を提供する法律で要求されるように、改革計画の目標に一段と効率的に到達できるようにします。通常の業務は改革計画と並行して実施され、業務効率を高め、製品とサービスの品質を向上させます。

The cabinet on Tuesday resolved that cash-strapped Thai Airways International (THAI) would file for bankruptcy at the Central Bankruptcy Court in order to work out its rehabilitation plan.

火曜日の内閣は、資金難に陥ったタイ国際航空（THAI）がその更生計画を立てるために中央破産裁判所に破産を申請することを決議した。

Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha said it was the best course to help the troubled airline back onto its feet. Under the rehabilitation plan, THAI would not receive financial assistance from the government and its 20,000-member staff would not be laid off.

プラユット首相は、問題のある航空会社を立ち直らせるのに最適なコースだと語った。リハビリ計画の下で、タイ政府は政府からの財政的支援を受けず、その20,000人の従業員はレイオフされない。

“Today it is time to show the courage to undergo the rehabilitation process at the court. Today Thailand and countries worldwide face a crisis. Thailand must spend money to help people, farmers, SMEs, wage earners, self-employed people and those who work hard for their families,” he said.

「裁判所でリハビリプロセスを受ける勇気を示す時です。今日、タイと世界の国々は危機に直面しています。タイは人々、農民、中小企業、賃金労働者、自営業者と労働者を助けるためにお金を使わなければなりません」と語った。

According to the Stock Exchange of Thailand, THAI’s assets were recorded at 256 billion baht at the end of last year while its total debts stood at 245 billion baht.

タイ証券取引所によると、THAIの資産は昨年末に2,560億バーツで、負債総額は2,450億バーツでした。
